Police continue search for missing Northumberland man in new appeal
Police are continuing to search for a missing Northumberland man as new pictures of him are released.
Jess, aged 44, was last seen in Greenhaugh, near Bellingham, on the morning of March 9. He was reported as missing on March 16.
Since he was reported missing, extensive enquiries have been carried out by Northumbria Police officers to locate Jess, who is from near Haltwhistle.
Today (Monday), officers are re-appealing to the public for further information as to Jess’s whereabouts.
The re-appeal includes new images of Jess which are being released with the permission of his family.
Detective Inspector Nick Went, from the Force’s Missing Investigation team, said: “We’d like to thank everyone who has so far provided information towards our investigation to locate Jess. It is much appreciated by ourselves and his family.
“Our search for Jess remains ongoing and we’d encourage anyone who may have details of where he may be – no matter how small or insignificant they feel it is – to get in touch.
“Your information could prove vital in helping us trace him.”
Jess is believed to have been in Scotland prior to being reported missing, specifically Edinburgh.
Officers are not ruling out the possibility that he may have gone back to Scotland.
He is described as a white man, 5ft 11in tall and of slim build with short brown hair and blue eyes.
Jess, or anyone with information on his whereabouts, should send Northumbria Police a direct message on social media or use the live chat and report forms on the Force’s website.
