This group of nine musicians, who meet at Newton-on-the-Moor, have been playing together for about eight years.

The members come from all parts of the county, ranging from Seahouses to Longhorsley.

After an introduction to all the musicians, the WI members were able to sit back and relax, with some foot-tapping to a miscellany of music from the Shetlands, Ireland, Canada and Rothbury.

One piece, entitled Northumberland, written in 2013 by a Yorkshire man, illustrated the impression the county gives to visitors.
