POLICE will be carrying out extra patrols this Easter.
Over the bank holiday weekend, officers will be out in the evenings in areas such as Alnwick, Amble and Rothbury to ensure that revellers are behaving themselves and feel safe.
Police will visit licensed premises and crack down on underage drinking.
Officers are also going to give extra attention to schools in the area to make sure they are not targeted by vandals or thieves while closed for the Easter holiday.
As part of this, police have urged anyone who sees anything suspicious to call 101 ext 69191.
