Plans to develop a dementia-friendly community in Hadston are progressing. A date is being arranged for a training event.
• The community café in Hadston House closed on Saturday for a makeover. It reopened on Monday.
• PC Paul Dent said that, crime-wise, the new year has got off to a quiet start. However, he did say that police are appealing for information after a car was damaged in Chibburn Avenue at the start of January.
• Coun Scott Dickinson has responded to criticism by parish-council chairman Penelope Fidkin who blasted the state of the area’s paths and the amount of dog mess. He said the county council has worked hard to tackle fouling in certain areas and some paths belonged to Isos Housing. He said work is being done to improve the area.
