Flowers have been stolen from a Hadston planter for the second time in a matter of months. In November, Coun Fred Thurgood, pictured, criticised thieves for pinching the blooms from the decorative feature, just a fortnight after they had been planted. The flowers were replaced, but on Monday, members said thieves have struck again.
DOG-POO PROBLEMS ARE REITERATED
Dog-dirt concerns have been reiterated. Parish council chairman Penelope Fidkin said Chibburn Avenue, Woodside Crescent and a grass verge at Druridge Avenue were trouble spots, but added: “it is everywhere”. She also slammed the state of paving stones in the area.
POSSIBLE PLANNING BREACH LOOKED AT
The county council needs more information to determine whether Hadston’s Co-op is breaching planning permission by having trolley ranks outside the shop, following concerns by members.
