More dumping at site
Coun Thelma Morse has said the former Petticas Garage site, in Red Row, is once again in a mess and rubble is being dumped. Earlier this year, Northumberland County Council requested that DP Builders keeps the area tidy and ensures regular checks are made to prevent fly-tipping. Clerk John Douglas said he will notify the county council about the latest problems and ask the authority what can be done about it. Members have raised concerns about the site’s tidiness and appearance numerous times.
RESIDENTS URGED TO USE BUS SERVICE
Coun Fred Thurgood issued a ‘use it or lose it’ plea to the community, with Arriva’s 20/X20 service set to be reinstated to Hadston on a trial basis from Sunday, October 27. Arriva has proposed to divert alternate journeys.
HADSTON HOUSE BREWS UP FUNDS
Hadston House raised £2,197 for Macmillan Cancer Support, as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Coun Dickinson said it was a great effort and praised other venues nearby which held events.
