Early-bird entry opens for sports weekend

Runners and riders are being given an opportunity to save money when entering one of the North East's most beautiful sporting events, the Active Northumberland Kielder Marathon Weekend 2017.

The opening of entries to the 2017 sporting event comes as Active Northumberland has confirmed it will continue to support the weekend.

The 2017 event will once again involve not only the Kielder Marathon and Half-Marathon, but also the Kielder 10k, Run Bike Run and a series of children’s races, taking place across the weekend of October 7 and 8, 2017.

Early-bird entry prices are available from now until December 31, 2016.

In 2016, some 3,200 competitors signed up for the races, which take place on the banks of Northumbrian Water’s Kielder Water, which is Northern Europe’s largest man-made lake.
