Duchess of Northumberland honours those who light up the town

The Duchess of Northumberland welcomed members of Alnwick Christmas Lights committee to Alnwick Castle, where Grant Harris, managing dirctor of Pure Fishing, handed over a cheque for £1,500 to boost the town’s festive display.

Donations have also come from the National Farmers Union Insurance, £500, and David Purvis, of Purvis Plant Hire, £2,500.

Also present were Derek, Graeme and Michelle Warren, who have provided hydraulic lift vehicles at discounted rates for the past 20 years.
