Drivers warned of possible delays

Drivers are being warned of possible delays when part of Denwick Lane in Alnwick is closed to traffic.

A 280-metre stretch of Denwick Lane, north from its junction with the B6346 Bondgate Without, will be closed from 8am to 3pm on Sunday, July 1, while resurfacing work is carried out.

A diversion will be in place during the work.

The alternative route for traffic will be via the B1340, B6341 Bailiffgate, Dispensary Street, Lagny Street, B6341 Lisburn Street, Prudhoe Street and vice versa.

The closure is to allow Northumberland County Council to carry out microsurfacing work.
