Don’t be left in the dark in a power cut

Northern Powergrid is reminding people this winter who to turn to during a power cut with the launch of a new digital campaign.

The campaign, which will see its Don’t be left in the dark message appearing across social-media channels around the North East, is designed to remind local people of who they need to call if they have a power cut.

The region’s electricity distribution company has a team of customer service advisors on hand 24 hours a day to answer calls to its emergency lines.

Customers can also access a wealth of information, including an online power-cut checker service and top tips, on Northern Powergrid’s website – www.northernpower

Kelly Graham, Northern Powergrid’s head of customer service, said: “If there is a power cut, we want our customers to know that we’re here for them all day, every day to answer their calls.”

The numbers to call during a power cut are 0330 123 0877 from a mobile and 0800 66 88 77 from a landline.
