After a recent Gazette article about former Alnwick Duke's School pupil David Temple being made an MBE for his services to music, one of his contemporaries, Gordon Castle, sent in the top picture. It features the school choir in 1967 and, left, teacher Aileen Willcox, who inspired David to take up music and ultimately establish the famous Crouch End Festival Chorus in London.
