DEVELOPMENT: Don't listen to the rumours

I’ve heard talk that the required number of affordable houses has been allocated part of the Peter’s Mill site, nearest to the A1 dual carriageway.

I have looked at the plans and I must point out that less than 40 per cent of these houses are planned to be right next to the A1, with only 20 per cent beside the sewage works.

Plainly, the rumourmongers are wrong in saying that noise and smell will be a problem for all of the affordable housing.
