Decisions due on two schemes in rural Northumberland villages

The controversial proposals, for stone-built properties on land south of Rock Cricket Club, are recommended for approval at Tuesday’s planning-committee meeting.

Meanwhile, a a bid to change the access for construction vehicles at a housing scheme in Chatton is also recommended for approval.

The homes on plots seven to 15 at the Northumberland Estates’ Mill Hill development have been completed and the current temporary access road ‘is unsuitable to service the construction of plots one to six’, according to the developer’s supporting statement.

It was due before the committee in March, but was withdrawn from the agenda.
