New figures reveals the latest crime hot spots across large parts of Northumberland.

Some of the locations where most crime was reported across large areas of Northumberland, according to latest official figures.

December’s Home Office data covers Northumbria Police’s Alnwick, Berwick and Morpeth policing neighbourhoods with all incidents said to have taken place “on or near” named locations. November 2020’s statistics are available here.

Twenty-seven incidents, including 26 violence and sexual offences (classed together), were reported to have taken place "on or near" this location.
Twenty-three incidents, including 12 violence and sexual offences (classed together) and four anti-social behaviour cases, are reported to have taken place "on or near" this location.

The number of reported incidents across the three policing neighbourhoods was 632 in December 2020. This compares to 753 in November 2020 and 460 in December 2019.

The Home Office stresses on its www.police.uk website that locations "are only an approximation of where the actual crimes occurred, they are not the exact locations" and that incidents may on occasion have taken place "within a 1 mile radius".
