Thieves snatch boy's Christmas present bike as they break into shed in Northumberland

An appeal has been launched to find the thieves who stole a bike gifted to a boy for Christmas.

Northumbria Police officers in Ashington are asking for help after the theft, which happened shortly before 6.15pm on Wednesday, March 4, at an address on Queen Street in the town.

It was reported that someone entered the shed at the rear of the property and stole the bike.

The young victim had been given the bike as a Christmas gift in December and now officers are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch as they work to reunite him with it.

Detective Constable Alison Felton, said: “We know the photo isn’t great quality but hopefully someone will have some information that might be able to help us reunite a young boy with his beloved bike.”
