Sheep rustlers have struck in rural Northumberland.

More than 90 sheep have been taken from their fields in a couple of locations, including the Great Whittington area near Matfen.

Although they were reported to police yesterday, the incidents are said to have taken place over the previous two months. Only young female sheep have been targeted, which were all ear marked.

Anyone with information about these crimes should call Northumbria Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
