Police believe thefts from Northumberland Co-op stores may be linked

There have been recent thefts from the Wooler and Belford branches, as well as another further south in the county.

“We don’t think the offenders are from this area,” Pc Curtis Ritchie told members of Wooler Parish Council. “Images have been circulated so we’ve got our fingers crossed on that.”

The only other reported crimes in Wooler over the month had been a minor assault and a case of computer fraud, he added.
