Police are appealing to the public for information after jewellery and a safe were taken from an address in Cramlington last week.

Officers were called to reports of a burglary at an address on Whitelaw Place, Cramlington at around 2.30pm on Monday, June 29.

The culprits broke in through the back door of the property, before making off with jewellery and a safe.

An investigation has been launched into the incident and officers are now asking anyone with information which could assist their inquiries to get in touch.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 2.30pm on June 29, police received a report of a burglary at an address on Whitelaw Place.

“Those responsible had broken in through the back door before stealing jewellery and a safe.”

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or who has information should contact police quoting reference number 516 29/06/20.
