Two women who were alleged to have assaulted one another in Alnwick have had their cases withdrawn.
Amina Begum, 40, of Sycamore Avenue, Alnwick, was facing one charge of common assault.
It was alleged that on Wednesday, June 18/Thursday, June 26, 2014, she assaulted Melanie McCaig on Sycamore Avenue.
Meanwhile, Melanie McCaig, 42, of Cheviot Road, Shilbottle, was facing a charge of assault by beating.
It was alleged that on or between Wednesday, June 18, and Tuesday, June 24, 2014, she assaulted Amina Begum by beating her at Lower Barresdale.
Amina Begum had not entered a plea, while Melanie McCaig had pleaded not guilty.
Both women were listed to appear at Mid and South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Both charges have been withdrawn.
