Northumberland burglary sparks police plea for information

Police issued an appeal for information this afternoon after a burglary in Northumberland.

Between 4.15pm on Thursday, August 12, and 9.15am on Friday, August 13, thieves broke into the old school house in High Hauxley, near Amble.

The house is currently being renovated and the crooks stole a number of tools, including a Dewalt drill, a Curson chainsaw, a Stanley drill, a Bosch grinder and a Bosch drill.

A number of metal cables were also stolen.

Inquiries into the burglary are ongoing and anyone with any information into the incident or the whereabouts of the stolen tools is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191.
