Police were called to reports of an unconscious man in Station Road, Ashington.

It was reported that he was assaulted by another man, who was in the company of three other men, after walking home.

It is believed to have happened between 2am and 3.10am on Reiverdale Road in Ashington on Sunday, December 8.
