A WOOLER man was fined £255 after pleading guilty to three charges of possession of drugs.
Berwick magistrates heard that Michael McMahon, of Oliver Road, was arrested on November 10 after police found him with a quantity of cannabis resin.
When they later searched his house they found around 40 valium tablets in his bedroom.
Eight days later, the 25-year-old was arrested again when police carried out another search of the property and found a quantity of cannabis in a tobacco tin.
Adam Scott, defending, said the drugs were of a reasonably small amount and for personal use. The defendant suffered from severe headaches after a fall and this was his way of dealing with the pain.
McMahon was also ordered to pay £170 costs and a £15 surcharge.
