A SEAHOUSES man has appeared in court charged with refusing to stop when required by a constable.
Paul Ronald Mountain, of Stone Close, pleaded not guilty to the charge at Berwick Magistrates’ Court last Thursday.
The 67-year-old is accused of driving to Seahouses after he was stopped at the Swinhoe crossroads on Monday, September 12.
The charge states that Mountain initially stopped only to tell the police that he was going to Seahouses police station and driving off despite being told not to do so.
It is said that he drove to his home address where he initially refused to leave his car.
The case was adjourned until Monday, December 12, for the trial. Mountain is on unconditional bail.
