A series of Christmas craft workshops are taking place at Bamburgh Castle - starting this week.
On Thursday, have a go at making your own Christmas cards and wrapping paper using mono-printing techniques. All materials are provided and the workshop is suitable for complete beginners. The session is being run by Liz and Justine from Allanbank Arts.
Next Thursday, December 13, you can create a unique centrepiece for Christmas. Using natural wood as the base for your ‘tree’ you can create something as simple or flamboyant as you wish. Using a range of fun and simple techniques to create a stunning piece, you can decorate it with tiny ornaments created from found and curated objects.
Both courses run from 10am to 2.30pm and cost £60 per person. Bring a packed lunch and tea/coffee/glass of wine and homemade cake will be provided to enjoy after the session, the sessions also include a guided tour of Bamburgh Castle.
And on Friday, December 15, there will be an evening of festive music in The King’s Hall with The Berwick Concert Band. Refreshments will be served in The Great Kitchen during the interval. Adults £14 children £5.
