The Craster Community Trust held a public meeting in the Craster Memorial Hall, on Tuesday, June 10.
This was to seek community support for its activities and plans. Unfortunately, the meeting was very poorly attended.
The Trust’s AGM is to take place at 7pm, on Thursday, July 10.
At this meeting, the Trustees are elected for the following year. All inhabitants of Craster and Dunstan, 18 years and over are eligible to vote.
It is hoped there will be a markedly-improved attendance at this meeting.
People who are prepared to help the Trust are needed, whether by standing for election as Trustees, by volunteering with tasks that arise from time to time, or not least by sharing their views with the committee.
Without such community support, the Trust may have to be terminated. This would mean closure of the Memorial Hall and the Playpark since there would be nobody to be responsible for them.
