The weather has caused some delays to the planned resurfacing works on the southbound carriageway between Alnwick and Newton on the Moor, which started last Monday, but the closure of the southbound carriageway and subsequent contraflow look set to start tomorrow.

This means traffic will not be able to access the A1 southbound from the Willowburn junction and will have to use the Denwick junction further north.

The roadworks will also affect the Arriva X15 bus services to Hampeth, Shilbottle and the Lionheart Business Park. There are more details and timetables for the replacement shuttle buses here.
