Concern over welfare of two missing Northumberland teenage girls

Police are appealing for the public’s help in tracing two missing Northumberland girls.

Hannah Breckon, 14, and Michaela Hay, 17, both from Bardon Mill, Hexham, were reported missing yesterday after leaving home.

Police are concerned for their welfare and are keen to hear that they are safe and well.

Hannah is described as white, 5ft 4ins tall, thin build with a pale complexion and long dark hair with pink ends. She was last seen wearing a grey/green coat with black leggings and white trainers.

Michaela is described as white, 5ft 3ins tall, slim build and pink hair. She was last seen wearing black leggings with a dark hooded bomber jacket and black trainers.

Inspector David Morrison said: “We’re keen for Hannah and Michaela to get in touch to reassured they are ok. We’re carrying out searches to find both girls and would urge anyone who may know of their whereabouts to contact us”

It is believed the girls may have links to Sunderland and the Paisley/Glasgow area.

The girls or anyone who may have seen them is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference 1098 10/01/15
