Company oils the wheels of funding

IS your rugby team’s kit looking a bit ragged? Does your charity need chirping up with a small cash donation? Is there a local cause longing for a lift?

Heating oil supplier, F Peart & Co, has launched a charitable bursary to support worthwhile causes and is calling for nominations from north Northumberland.

Business manager Laura Jackson said: “As a long-standing regional business, made up of local employees, we have had the pleasure of meeting and supplying to people who are so generous with their time and support for all manner of causes, as well as those who keep the region’s sporting heritage going each weekend.

“This bursary is our way of extending our time and support to everyone in Northumberland and keeping in touch with the communities we are a part of and work hard for.

“We do have criteria and ask that all nominations are made from local sources and are relevant to causes in Northumberland. Plus, once the bursary is gone, it’s gone, so we suggest causes get their applications in early.

“Whether your parish building needs a bit of TLC; or you are taking part in a sponsored walk and need an extra donation to hit your target; or, your local sports team has been playing in the same worn-out kit for the last five years, we want to hear from you.”

Applicants should send an email or letter to or Bursary Application, Laura Jackson, F Peart and Co, Baltic Street, Hartlepool, TS25 1PW, outlining the name of the organisation or cause, where it is based, what it does in, or to support, the local community and in no more than 200 words, what funding is required and what it will be used for.

Full contact details should also be included so the F Peart & Co team can get back in touch. Successful applicants will be notified within 28 days of their nomination being received. Terms and conditions apply.
