Towns and villages will be holding poignant Remembrance Sunday commemorations and services on November 8.
Alnwick’s Remembrance Day Service takes place in St Paul’s Church, Percy Street, from 2.30pm. The Band of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers will accompany the hymns in church.
Following this, a parade will take place to the war memorial where wreaths will be laid from approximately 3.30pm. Everyone is welcome to lay a wreath and those wishing to order a British Legion Wreath can do so from Neil Brison, by calling 01665 602349 or emailing email@example.com
There will be some rolling road closures in place during the afternoon.
Amble’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations will be held in the Town Square, with wreath-laying taking place just before 11am.
After the ceremony, the Amble branch of the Northumbria Army Cadets will lead a procession via Queen Street and Wellwood Street to St Mark’s URC for a service of remembrance.
There will be some road closures from 11.15am to noon.
Wooler’s Remembrance Sunday service takes place at 2.30pm at St Mary’s church, followed by the laying of wreaths at the Tory, where there will also be a service on November 11.
