A fund-raising ceilidh is being held at the end of the month to support the work of a hospital in Africa.

Richie Biggers, from Alnwick, is doing his medical elective at Trinity Hospital in Muona, Malawi, this spring.

It is in a very poor rural area of south Malawi and life is an endless struggle for supplies and decisions on who they need to prioritise for treatment.
