Fiona Carvell, of Shotley Bridge, near Consett in County Durham, paints in soft pastels, bringing a vibrancy and richness of colour to her landscape compositions.

Pencil and monochrome pastels are used by Peter Davidson, formerly of Ashington but now living in nearby Ellington.

Deirdre Foster, of Shilbottle, will be showcasing her driftwood art made using pieces of wood washed ashore on beaches in Northumberland.

Linda Mumba, of Durham City, creates impressionistic paintings mainly using acrylics.
