Ladies from Alnwick Inner Wheel have filled back packs for children in Africa at the home of President Margaret Thompson.

The completed bags, which are made up for different age groups, are filled with a selection of clothing and stationery items.

This will enable the children to go to school, which has many benefits, not only for education, as it is where they can also be given a meal.

The collection is part of the Inner Wheel District support for the Scottish-based charity Mary’s Meals, which provides life-changing meals to some of the world’s poorest children every day they attend school.

Delivery of the goods will be overseen by International Inner Wheel.
