The family of a young girl who died last month are set to benefit from events being held in their daughter’s memory.
Six-year-old Clover Nolan died at the end of November after a streptococcal infection led to depsis which caused her body to shut down.
Her parents, Lisa Marie Mole and Shaun Nolan and five siblings, who live at Ravensmede, in Alnwick, were left devastated by what happened.
Since her death, the community has rallied around to support the family and over the next week events are being held to raise funds for them.
On Saturday, there is a family Christmas disco at Shilbottle Sports and Social Club, hosted by Shilbottle Phoenix Charities.
It starts at 7pm with a £1 cover fee with a raffle and other events also taking place.
On Christmas Eve, a 12-hour tattoo-a-thon is being held at Elemental on Fenkle Street, in Alnwick.
Every half an hour between 10am and 10pm tattooists will be adding Clover-related designs to people.
From four-leafed clovers to butterflies and other pictures, each tattoo costs £30 with half the cost going towards the family.
A raffle and tombola will also be held during the day and prizes have been donated by local businesses across the town.
Tickets for the raffle cost £1 per strip and are available to buy now. Winners will be drawn at the end of the tattoo-a-thon.
Businesses are also looking after teddy bears which need naming, with proceeds going to Clover’s family.
Bex Hair and Beauty, in Alnwick, and the Secret Spa, in Shilbottle, are both minding the bears. Customers can pick a name for £1 and if it’s right they win the teddy.
