The Rock Festival Choir will be performing Advent carols in St Paul’s Church, Alnwick, on Sunday, at 3pm.

The programme will include some pieces written by composers from within the choir – Cheryl Camm and Peter Brown.

The choir will also be performing Alexander L’Estrange’s evocative Magnificat from his New College Service.

It will sing one movement from Rachmaninov’s Vespers, an intense, lovely, but seldom performed work, which Rock Festival Choir performed in June 2017, and which it is looking forward to performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2018.

The choir is directed by Peter Brown and the organists will be Alan Gidney and Peter Hignett.

Tickets will be available on the door, £9 and £8 concessions.
