Children flock to refurbished play park
Hundreds of children have been enjoying themselves at the newly-refurbished Flagstaff Park in Berwick over the Christmas and New Year period.
The play park has received an £80,000 transformation thanks to Berwick Town Council and Kompan.
As a result, there are now new swings, slides, climbing frames, rope ladders, a roundabout and a see-saw.
Contractors are due back on site in early February to finish the project. A disabled swing with an extra harness will also be properly fitted over the coming weeks.
An official opening for the park, located next to the Rose Gardens, is planned for later in the month.
