Winnipeg folk trio Red Moon Road are on their way to Wooler to entertain with a mix of music and storytelling next Thursday.
Part of the Highlights Rural Touring Scheme, the show promises well-crafted folk songs, with three-part harmonies, played on guitars, mandolin, banjo, keys and percussion.
Fronted by singer Sheena Rattai, they revel in Albertain country music, Parisian aires, and banjo driven anthems.
The show, which takes place at the Cheviot Centre, will also help to raise funds for next year’s free Glendale Music Festival.
“We’ve had some fantastic bands from Canada through the Highlights touring scheme in the past and we’re looking forward to a great night with Red Moon Road,” said Alison Lloyd-Harris, chairman of the festival committee.
The gig stars at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £9, conc £8, family £25, children £6, from 01668 282406 or www.highlightsnorth.co.uk
