A Northumberland farmhouse brewery, launched in the former milking parlour of a dairy farm, is offering drinkers a taste of Christmas.

Rigg & Furrow Brewery, based at Acklington Park Farm and run by the Howie family, opened its new licensed bar and tasting room at the weekend with a special, festive gingerbread beer.

More than 100 people turned up for the tasting room launch.

Theo Howie said: “Today’s been a great occasion and an opportunity to say a big thank-you to everyone who’s supported us this year and a big cheers from the Howie family for our next year of brewery business.”

Rigg & Furrow supplies its distinctive beer to more than 100 bars, venues and hotels.
