A NATIONAL cancer charity is trying to gain a sporting boost.
And its North Northumberland fund-raising group is calling on residents to register their support.
Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research has been shortlisted to be the charity partner for the Football League for the 2012/13 season.
The partnership is worth over £400,000 – and the charity urgently need this money to save the lives of the thousands of mums, dads, grannies, granddads and children across the UK who are diagnosed with blood cancers every year.
The vote, which can be found here, closes on Wednesday, December 7.
