To celebrate the launch of the new Nissan Micra, Blackshaws of Alnwick will be hosting an audience with Olympian Laura Weightman in aid of Breast Cancer Care and HospiceCare North Northumberland.

Local lass Laura, who hails from Lesbury, will give a talk and answer audience questions about her journey from School Runner to Olympic Athlete on Thursday, March 30.

Laura competed in the 2012 London Olympics, as well as in Rio in 2016, and took silver in the Commonwealth Games in 2014 in the 1500m.

During the evening Blackshaws will also unveil the sporty new Nissan Micra and will hold a grand raffle, with the opportunity to win £250 in a cash-grabber booth.

Tickets are priced at £5 and all entrance and raffle money will be donated to the two charities.

Book up at Blackshaws Alnwick on 01665 602123.
