A charity is running a course to help people learn how to save, budget and spend their money wisely.
The Alnwick centre of Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is holding the free CAP Money Course at a home in the town’s Argyle Terrace on Wednesday, November 13, 20 and 27.
The sessions will take place from 7.30pm to 9pm.
CAP fears that some people could be drawn into greater hardship because of the introduction of the new universal credit payment.
Bill McDonald, from the CAP debt centre in Alnwick, said: “We’re at the very start of the system being gradually introduced and when it’s fully implemented, it will bring a lot of changes and poses a challenge for many.
“We are running this course to help people prepare to better manage their money.”
