Charity event for student's Africa trip

The event is being hosted by Lizzie Craig, from Shilbottle, who is raising funds for The FutureSense Foundation as part a volunteering trip to Tanzania, in Africa, this summer.

Lizzie, who is studying primary education at York St John’s University, is heading to Africa in July through Challenges Abroad, in support of the FutureSense Foundation

She will volunteer in the underprivileged town of Arusha in Tanzania, supporting local schools and community projects.

She is aiming to raise £2,250 and has already secured more than £400.

It is hoped the coffee morning, which runs from 10am to noon will help to boost the coffers.
