Castles rule the roost in our pic parade

Northumberland has more castles than any other county in England.

So it’s no surprise that they feature in all of the week’s most popular Facebook photos.

Alnwick, Bamburgh and two appearances by Warkworth make up our top of the shots.

Every day at facebook.com/nlandgazette, we share your images of the county under the banner, View of Northumberland. Then each week in the Gazette, we feature the four which received the most likes the previous week.

A host of golden daffodils at Alnwick Castle by Judith Hardisty was top of the pic parade last week, with 312 likes.

In second, was an early morning shot of Bamburgh Castle by Darren Chapman, liked 295 times.

Third place went to Warkworth Castle in the spring sunshine by Catherine Davies van Zoen, which attracted 152 likes.

Warkworth was back in the frame in fourth place with a Lyn Douglas sunset shot, with 130 likes.
