Cash rolling in for Amble lifeboat fund

Money continues to roll in for this year’s Jam Jar Army, which is supporting the Amble Shannon Lifeboat Appeal.

Amble Lifeboat Fundraisers are aiming to raise £200,000 to bring a state-of-the-art Shannon-class lifeboat to the harbour town.

A fantastic day was had on Sunday as the latest monthly coffee morning in the RNLI Boat House on the Quayside took place, raising a total of £624.30.

Stormy Stan, the RNLI mascot, made an appearance and went around the market, much to the delight of young and old.

CIRCA café, based at Marks Bridge, held a fund-raising daay to mark its first anniversary.

There was a raffle along with the Crazy Pix photo booth, bringing in a grand total of £256.00.

Amble Lifeboat Fundraisers’ chairman Katrina Cassidy offered a big thanks to Tony and all his staff as well as Crazy Pix for providing some fantastic photographs.

The next coffee morning will take place on Sunday, August 16, before the grand Harbour Day event on Sunday, August 30.

A total of £897.30 has been brought in so far in jam jars.
