Caroline Sabiston, from Monkseaton, will play Nancy as West End Operatic Society performs Oliver from Tuesday to Saturday, April 5 to 9, at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House in Newcastle.

Caroline is delighted to have landed the part in the well-loved family classic as she has wanted to perform the role since she auditioned for the BBC series, I’d Do Anything, in which Andrew Lloyd-Webber was searching for a Nancy to star in the West End production, in 2008.

Caroline trained at the Guildford School of Acting, graduating as the only girl in her year to receive a first-class honours degree in musical theatre.

Since settling back in the North East, she has mostly been performing with her own theatrical events company based in Whitley Bay.
