The event will be held at the town’s fire station, on South Road, on Saturday, March 26, starting at 10am.

The car wash is in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity, which is the UK’s leading provider of services that enhance the quality of life for serving and retired fire service personnel and their families.

Its vision is to make a positive difference by supporting people in the fire and rescue community when they are in need.

The charity was set up in 1943 out of a desire to help wounded firefighters and provide support to their families during the Second World War.

The car wash at Alnwick Fire Station has been held a number of times before, raising plenty of money for the charity over the years. For more information, visit firefighterscharity.org.uk
