A LARGE police operation is under way in Alnwick this morning after a car crashed into a garden.
Police cars, the Northumbria force’s helicopter and dog vans were at the scene at St James’ Estate from around 6.30am.
The red car went straight through a fence surrounding the property, ending up in the back garden.
An eyewitness said: “There were around eight or nine police cars in the area and the police helicopter was hovering overhead for at least half an hour.
“The dog section was also there.”
