A PARTY in a car showroom raised more than £2,000 for a charity which helps people with life-limiting illnesses.
Blackshaws, on Lionheart Enterprise Park, cleared its forecourt to make way for a dancefloor, stage and more in aid of HospiceCare North Northumberland.
The night started with music from Mike Makin on his guitar before the star of the show Pete Lincoln from The Sweet was on stage playing everything from Wig Wam Bam to Lady GaGa’s Pokerface.
The night included a buffet and the HospiceCare elephants were also on sale.
There were also chocolates and champagne for the winner of guess the number of balloons in the Suzuki SX4.
A HospiceCare spokeswoman said: “We would like to say a big thank-you to Blackshaws for emptying their show room and allowing us to dance the night away while raising £ 2212.65 for HospiceCare North Northumberland.
“We would also like to thank everyone who helped throughout the day and night to make this a great fun night,.”
