An Amble woman has blasted ‘sick and mindless’ vandals who damaged her car, in what she believes is a revenge attack.

Eileen Williams’ vehicle was covered in a corrosive substance while it was parked outside her home at West Court earlier this month.

The substance was also poured over the roof.

She relies on the car to get to hospital and hospice appointments and it now needs a total respray costing £2,700.

In the meantime, she will have to arrange alternative transport to travel to and from her vital appointments.

She has told the Gazette that she thinks that the people responsible attacked her car because they believe she ‘snitched to police’ about another incident, but she denies this.

She has, however, said that the police have been informed about the vandalism to her car.
