Police are appealing for information after a car was broken into in a north Northumberland village.

Between 7pm and 9pm on Tuesday, August 4, thieves smashed the passenger-side front window of a Vauxhall Mokka parked in Craster Quarry car park. They searched a handbag that had been left inside the vehicle, but nothing was stolen.

Inquiries are ongoing into the theft and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference number 1306 04/08/15.
