NORTHUMBERLAND businesses are invited to meet key buyers and build contacts at a free event next week.
As part of the continuing free support being offered by Northumberland County Council’s Procurement Centre Programme, businesses are invited to the event at Longhirst Hall, Morpeth, on Wednesday.
The event is about building new business contacts and networks and will provide direct access to key buyers from across the region and enable businesses to build new contacts.
The county council will launch its new approach to buying and seminar speakers will bring businesses up to date with the very latest important changes at the North East Purchasing Organisation (NEPO), the Ministry of Defence, and NHS, while others will advise on how to directly access major contracts.
Businesses will also have the opportunity to meet the buyers.
Places can be reserved now and bookings can be made for face-to-face appointments to meet and sell directly to buyers, including the county council, Northumberland College, NEPO, MoD and NHS.
Appointments with buyers will be on a first-come first-served basis, so businesses are urged to register now.
There will also be a marketplace where companies can showcase what they do.
Around 100 people are expected to attend the event.
There are only 25 exhibition spaces available – and again these are on a first-come first-served basis.
This free event will be the last event held by the Procurement Centre.
To reserve places or book an exhibition stand free of charge, contact Karen by emailing Karen@btob.co.uk or calling 0191 2815777.
